I released a new short visual novel! :D The Perfect Portrait was created forThe Only One of Any Asset (O2A2) Visual Novel Jam 2023 ~ Queer Edition, and I highly suggest you also check out the other entries that were submitted for O2A2Q 2023 and be sure to support the Queer Games Bundle when it comes out this summer!

I'm actually nervous about releasing this because usually I err on the side of being topical. Topical subjects have a tendency to age badly and I don't tend to explain my writing, but as someone that considers themself more of an illustrator that wants to work with visuals and drawing as their career of course I'm incensed about the rise of AI generated art and further abuse and devauling of artists. The game is more of a vent, but it was a lot of fun making it especially since I was on an art and development hiatus and I got to employ some code I've wanted to see in action. 

I'm honestly the most nervous about how what I'm expressing in the game is going to come across, and I honestly have a no explanation rule on my stories, but this one should be clear: I do not support AI generated art.

Big shoutout to my beloved partner Dan Vallerand for making the music track. Also for giving me some feedback on audio and gassing me up lol. Go check out his music or I'll eat all the food in your fridge.
